Deloris has a BA (hons) degree in Business, IT and Spanish and a PGCE in secondary education as well as 25 years experience managing her own businesses. As well as winning North East Woman entrepreneur of the year 2010 Deloris has been nominated for Entrepreneurs' Forum Annual Awards and England Social Enterprise Awards and the 2012 NatWest Award. Overall responsibility for strategic development of the business lies with Deloris; she is the driving force behind the company. She is also the CEO of the company and along with Chris Pearman and core management team ensures the company runs effectively and efficiently.
Funding and Contracts Manager
Chris has 25 years experience working in and managing early years establishments and youth projects. Chris also holds an Adult teaching certificate and N.V.Q. Level 3 Management qualification. Chris works closely with the CEO and other board members and is responsible for research of funding streams and subsequent applications, monitoring and evaluation for the organisation and the initiation and implementation of internal quality systems and policies and procedures.
Clare’s role is to oversee the provision of services that we offer and to make sure that North East Dance is running productively providing a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of our customers and clients. As well as being Operations Director for North East Dance, Clare is also a dance tutor delivering sessions in schools and venues throughout the North East . She is qualified in multi-disciplines and teaches people of all ages and abilities. Clare has a BA Hons Degree in Performance and Events Production. Clare is also one of the company's Health Champions.
As Development Manager, Emma has a number of responsibilities: but the primary role is to get the North East Dance products developed, ready for market and into venues with a goal to deliver results to our customer. Emma is fully qualified and trained in numerous styles of dance and fitness for adults and children. Emma gained a degree in Circus Arts at the national Centre For Circus Arts London enabling her to teach various circus skills too including a very important role as part of the Olympic Opening Team 2012.
Alex is project manager here at North East Dance which means that she has the overall responsibility for the successful delivery, control and closure of a project. Alex also works as a dance tutor delivering a wide range of dance and fitness styles in schools, nurseries and venues throughout the North East. She graduated from Sunderland University with a degree in dance and previously had a lecturing role for Sunderland college before joining our team.
HR manager Maria is responsible for the professional development of the team and there are two basic functions to Marias role, these being: overseeing department functions and managing employees. Maria was originally introduced to North East Dance as customer attending some of our fantastic fitness classes on a weekly basis, she loved the company that much she hasn’t left since!
Dance Tutor and Choreographer
Carrie Is one of our Dance Tutors and is always very busy in schools across the North East. As a graduate from Sunderland University she can teach many different styles of dance and fitness from freestyle to Ballet. She is great with children and a very popular instructor, especially in Primary schools. Carrie is also a qualified Clubbercise instructor leading successful classes in South Tyneside.
Emily is one of our long standing dance tutors and is very popular and always by schools to return each academic year. Having attended dance school and various training places since a very young age she is a very versatile instructor. She has lots of experience teaching dance in schools across the region. Emily’s particular strength is Street Dance and she teaches some very popular classes for North East Dance in community venues in Newcastle.
Katie graduated from Northumbria university in June 2015 with a BA in Dance. She is a very versatile instructor, able to teach a wide range of dance styles and fitness sessions. She is a popular instructor that delivers great sessions across the North East, she works fantastically with both Adults and children. Katie instructs in both school and leisure centres for North East Dance, her Zumba classes are particularly popular.
Aimee is one of the team's newest members and she delivers dance sessions in schools for North East Dance. Aimee works in many schools across Newcastle both in school time and delivering afterschool clubs and has a great rapport with the children that she teaches. Having trained in dance from a young age her strengths are Street dance and Freestyle.
Emma Delivers Zumba and fitness classes for North East Dance in the South Tyneside area. She is a popular instructor who has been delivering sessions for us for 6 years now. Emma’s classes are always busy and she always has loyal customers returning week after week.
Lauren is one of our newest instructors here at North East Dance but is already proving popular teaching dance in schools. As well as teaching dance she is also able to teach a wide variety of fitness styles and instructs both adults and children in various venues. Lauren is a Sunderland University Graduate receiving a BA in dance making her fully qualified in teaching a wide range of dance styles and disciplines.
