Dance4ward!

Dance4ward is our curriculum support programme: Through dance activity we explore a given theme, topic or area of learning and bring a dynamic twist to the learning process through dance and movement. We use relevant and meaningful music that reflects youth culture, to enhance the curriculum and help re-engage participants in the learning process. The Dance4ward programme structure is very flexible in order to accommodate different curriculum areas which are identified as needing support. We therefore keep our programme planning client-led, as far as practicable, enabling current provision to be relevant and appropriate to participant learning needs.

This programme is for group activity with an ideal group size of 20 (maximum) participants, however we have delivered the programmes to larger groups successfully. Dependent on learner needs, we allocate one tutor to each session. Our consultation with school staff ahead of delivery, identifies which subject area or specific topic will be covered.
